Case:
…To the Sound of Madness
Creating a film for Hanging The Nihilist’s debut studio album “Prophetic Blasphemy” on short notice was quite a challenge. We drew inspiration from the novel written by the band’s vocalist, Alexander Hall Kristensen, with each song corresponding to a chapter in the book, so the script was essentially ready. The goal of this film wasn’t to focus heavily on the story, unlike the films to follow, but to include a few references to the novel
This film was primarily lit using natural light, with only a few studio lights added for edge light, fill light, and effects.
Production found place in an abandoned monastery, we had been granted access to.
